This is a painting of the belltower and the alleyway underneath it in the Provencal town of Lacoste in the Luberon area of France. This path eventually runs up to the castle at the top of the village, which was once the home of the infamous Marquis de Sade. This stonework took me ages, but I loved doing the shadows right at the end.
