A friend approached me after the 9/11 atrocity as he wanted to send something to New York t for the families of the firemen who died on that fateful day . He thought it would be fitting to send a painting of our blitz monument , which remembers our fireman who died in the second world war putting out the fires from Hitler's Blitzkrieg. It was never auctioned and is now hanging in Firemans Hall in New York.
