This is a painting from the island of Philae near Aswan in Egypt. It is part of the temple precinct of the temple of Isis. Built by Trajan in about AD29,this was moved in the 1960s like many structures after the building of the Aswan dam and rebuilt on a new island of Agilkias. You would never know now and the Sound and Vision show here is one of the best in Egypt. I managed to get this almost perfect reflection by standing up in the boat as we cruised away from the island. I have prints still of this picture.
